Actor Sven Simon shows around his home city of lübeck and passes on three recommendations for anyone visiting.
Where artists meet
Cole Street is just a short walk away from the theatre. This is Sven Simon's first recommendation. He comes here almost every day. The bistro is a café,bar and art gallery rolled into one and has regularly changing exhibitions. It's second home to Lübeck's artistic crowd and there's always something going on. In the evening, the Cole Street bistro becomes a venue for live concerts.
Buddenbrook Museum
German author Thomas Mann was awarded the nobel prize for literature for his novel Buddenbrooks. The museum is dedicated to the Mann family...two rooms are furnished in accordance with the Buddenbrook saga about the decline of a well-to-do Lübeck family. Incidentally,Sven Simon has played various roles in plays written by Thomas Mann.
Wining and Dining
The Miera restaurant is where north meets south. Mediterranean dishes with local ingredients...the restsaurant invites its guests to sit back and be spoiled by the ever-changing array of culinary delights on its menu. And for the record, the noodles are home made.
